Everyone loves crackers ,the thin melt in the mouth crunchies have an appeal of their own ,when you are in the mood to eat something salty and crunchy crackers are an healthy option
.A great snack for those who suffer morning sickness in pregnancy, as doctors usually advice something dry and salty to curb nausea
This cracker recipe is lil bit spicy also,Got this recipe from foodbetterbegood blog and slightly adapted it.
A dip of mayo or some tomato ,cucumber slices on them will give you a perfect snack .
So here goes the recipe
INGREDIENTS
Plain flour- 100gms ( 3/4 cups )
Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt -1/2 tsp
Sugar-1/2 tsp
Cold butter-3 tbsp+ 1 for greasing
Green chilly- 1 medium sized
Coriander- leaves of 4-5 stems
Ginger garlic paste -1/8 tsp
Yogurt- 3 tbsp
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180°
Sift the flour and baking powder together two times and set aside
Combine flour, sugar ,salt ,cold butter in a bowl .rub butter and flour with the tip of your fingers till the mix is crumbly in texture
Grind green chilly ,ginger garlic,and coriander coarsely in a blender
Mix this into the flour
Add yogurt one tablespoon at a time
And combine everything to form a dough
Divide the dough into two balls
Roll and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter or with pastry/pizza cutter
Do not roll too thin ,keep some thickness
Poke with fork evenly,this is to prevent puffing up
Arrange in the baking tray and pop into oven ,bake for 15-20 minutes
Take out and cool on a wire rack ,store in air tight containers
